Rapture Ruckus ~ 3 in 1

Rapture Ruckus is a fun band. They are sort of - in my opinion - a blend of rock and pop. These are three of my favorites and, if I'm being honest, possibly the only songs I know by them :)

Head Held High is rather serious but handled tastefully. It deals with the roughness of life and yet how we all have worth and can hold our heads high in that.

I don't know about you, but I frequently fall into the lie that I'm the only one dealing with something, or only I struggle with such and such. It's not true. We are in life together and we deal with things together.

This song is SO MUCH FUN! As someone who has never fit in with the world around me, I enjoy a song celebrating being different. It's encouragement to not give up and to stick to my convictions. If the world looks down on you for following Christ, being small, looking different, remember that you were created in the image of God and He doesn't make mistakes. Ever!

Winter Jam 2017 // Better Late Than Never

I cannot believe I forgot to post about Winter Jam!!! There are going to be some great artists on the tour this year.

Britt Nicole
My cousin got to see her on the tour a few years ago, but she only did the East Coast before Christmas, so she was not there when it came to my area. I was so bummed! But now I get to see her live and I am thrilled!

Hopeful song: Through Your Eyes

Tenth Avenue North
My first concert was TAN's "The Light Meets The Dark" concert when that was their newest CD! I love their first two CD's but then they came out with The Struggle and it was like I was listening to a different band. I did not like it at all, especially the singles. I didn't hear much off of Cathedrals, but I liked a couple of the songs (the singles were great!) and with Followers, I feel like they've returned to the style they had at the beginning; at least a little bit.

Hopeful song: it's so hard to pick one, so I'm not going to try.

Thousand Foot Krutch
I was SO EXCITED to see that TFK was the rock band this year. I like them (and Skillet) because they are rock but generally aren't screaming. The last time they were on WJ, I didn't know much of their music, but I will appreciate them more this year :)

Hopeful song: probably Courtesy Call  (even though there is a brief screaming part)

Andy Mineo
I really don't know much of his music, but I like rap, and I'm looking forward to hearing him. Honestly, I mostly know him from his collaborations with other artists.

Colton Dixon
Last time Colton was on the Tour, he only had one album and the popular songs from it were not great favorites of mine. These days, I like more songs than I don't like, and I'm very excited to hear him.

Hopeful song: again, this is hard. I think I'm going to have to pick Limitless

Newsong
Always the staple of WJ, Newsong has some fantastic music. Here is my Spotify playlist of my very favorites.

Hopeful song: I'm gonna go with Swallow The Oceans

OBB
They're back! Winter Jam's Pre-Jam Party is a great place to discover awesome new artists. I bought OBB's debut album the last time they were at WJ and they've come out with some really good music since then. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing their new music live.

Hopeful song: All Eyes On You

Also at Winter Jam: Crowder, Sarah Reeves, & Steven Malcom. Speakers are Tony Nolan and Sadie Robertson.

Aaron Shust Christmas music

Merry Christmas Eve! Here are some Christmas songs by Aaron Shust to get you in the Christmas mood! Happy Listening!

Mary, Did You Know? ~ Pentatonix

Pentatonix does a phenomenal job with Christmas songs and their version of Mary Did You Know is pretty much the only way I like this song. The group is incredibly talented and gives a fresh sound to age-old carols. Happy Listening!

Sing ~ Josh Wilson

Originally on his album "Life Is Not A Snapshot", Wilson created a Christmas version of his song "Sing". It really is quite appropriate for Christmas even in its original version, as it's all about praising and worshiping God! Happy Listening!

Wake Me Up (Amnesia) ~ G1C

This is the Group 1 Crew after Blanca left. I love the upbeat tempo of this song and the message that speaks to the struggle we all face - doing what we don't want and not doing what we do want. G1C asks God to remind us of who we are, to "wake us up" when we forget or "get amnesia". It's very clever and very accurate.

Happy Listening!

Lift Up Your Eyes ~ Danny Gokey

The music of this song just begs to be danced to! It's fun, upbeat, and just makes your mood lift (even if you're already happy :). The chorus is unique because it is similar to familiar hymns of Christmas time, yet fresh and new.

Happy Listening!

Easier (The Song of the Wisemen) ~ Jason Gray

Jason Gray has an album that tells the story of Christmas in song through different perspectives. This song is from the perspective of the Wise Men. It's a very clever and unique idea, I think.

Happy Listening!

Little Drummer Boy ~ for King & Country

If there is one thing fK&C does really well, it is drums, so this is the perfect song for them. I really like this rendition of Little Drummer Boy. Happy Listening!

Look A Little Higher ~ JJ Weeks Band

Sometimes trusting God is a minute by minute conscious act. This is especially true if you're walking through dark times. JJ Weeks Band seeks to encourage all of us to continually lay down all of our fears, doubts, and cares at Jesus' feet and look up to the God who is above all and in all. He loves us and cares for us.

Happy Listening!

Newsboys "Love Riot" // New Album

The Newsboys have a new album. Overall, it's a pretty good collection. You have "Guilty" from God's Not Dead 2, "Crazy" (which you may have heard on the radio), as well as "You Hold It All", another radio song.

You Hold It All is such a reassuring song. We humans like to have a semblance of control, and then we freak out when it's all "out of control". Maybe then we need the reminder that it's not under our control to begin with :)

Happy Listening!

Micah Tyler

I was introduced to Micah by Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist. His song "Directions" was on a CD of music associated with God's Not Dead 2.

Then on the radio, I heard this new song and instantly liked it. But, I had no idea who was singing! Usually, those are the songs they DON'T tell you who the artist is or the song name. This time, however, the nice DJ told me that it was a Micah Tyler song. It's only two songs so far, but I'm really liking this guy's stuff. Happy Listening!

Sunrise ~ The Afters

The Afters have a new album called "Live On Forever" and it's pretty good. By far, my favorite is the song Sunrise. There is so much hope in the lyrics of this song. It's all about looking forward from a dark time to the time when the sun rises again. I feel like there are a lot of songs being written like this right now, but that's a reflection of the state of peoples' hearts at this time and in this place. I know I need to constantly hear the message that God will bring the sunrise.

Happy Listening!

Rooftops ~ JJ Weeks Band ft. Tedashii

Time to get up and dance! Rooftops is a fun, upbeat song about proclaiming what we as Christians know; namely, Jesus Christ. Happy Listening!

Thursday, November 3, 2016

Welcome Andrew Marcus

I kept hearing this song on the radio and COULD. NOT. figure out who it was! It was driving me crazy. So I recorded part of it on my iPod and then typed the lyrics into the search bar. Voila! A new artist!

Andrew Marcus reminds me a little of Matt Maher. I've only heard this one song, but his voice and style seem to be similar to Maher. This first single is positive, encouraging, and uplifting. It's a reminder of who our God is and His promises to us. Happy Listening!

Spencer Kane playlist

Spencer Kane is the new Anthem Lights guy but he was an artist before. I decided to look him up on Spotify and see what his solo stuff was like. I was blow away!

When I found out about Shane Harper, I wanted to like his music. My problem was that basically all his songs were about relationships. I'm not against that, but I don't like listening to an artist who only sings about love, especially when they're not married.

Spencer is not like Shane in that regard. He has fun songs, love songs, and songs about God. That last one is why I like his music so much. I like that he is a Christian artist who can make secular songs and Christian songs and make them both really well.

It's the same with Anthem Lights. I like their fun songs and even some of their covers, but my favorites will always be originals and specifically, originals with a Christian message.

Here is my Spencer Kane Spotify playlist. Happy Listening!

You Hold It All ~ Newsboys

I feel like this is almost a hymn. The lyrics proclaim how mighty and sovereign our God is. Literally everything is in God's hand and His control. That is comforting.

Happy Listening!

Best of Relient K

Relient K is one of my favorite bands. I made a Spotify playlist of the best of RK (obviously my opinion). For some reason, That's My Jam is not on Spotify and they don't have the non-acoustic version of Fallen Man anymore. Also, the good Christmas songs aren't on there either. But enough talk. Happy Listening!

Jesus ~ Chris Tomlin

This is my current favorite worship song! All Tomlin does is lead you in singing to Jesus who He is. It's a wonderful reminder of just how powerful our Savior is.

Also, if you play guitar or piano, the chords are in the bottom right hand corner, so you can play along!!!

Happy Listening!

Grace ~ Steve Fee

Steve Fee writes powerful worship songs that reach to the heart of the matter. I found his song Grace on Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist. Happy Listening!

Caleb & Kelsey

Anthem Lights is one of my favorite bands. Several of their singers have their own projects. I'm pretty sure all these songs are covers of pop songs, but I love the way Caleb (of AL) and his wife Kelsey (formerly of One Girl Nation) sing them. They bring something to these songs that other people can't. I think it might be partly because they are married, so singing love songs actually means something for them. Here is my Spotify playlist of my favorites.

Happy Listening!

Giants Fall ~ Francesca Battistelli

To be honest, this is the first song Francesca has done in a while that I like. It's very upbeat (unlike Holy Spirit and If We're Honest). Happy Listening!

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Live It Well ~ Switchfoot

I'm not a big Switchfoot fan, but I really like their new single "Live It Well". I like the message of using this life for the best; living it to the full. It may seem cliched, but I think a lot of us don't live our lives well. We regret missed opportunities or regret decisions made. Switchfoot challenges us to live so we don't have that. Happy Listening!

Rise ~ Danny Gokey

Gokey writes and sings with so much emotion. He's been through some tough things and I think it comes through in his music. "Rise" is an encouraging song about going forward from those tough places in life.

So excited for new Britt Nicole music!!!!

I love Britt Nicole (she's on the Winter Jam West Coast Tour; here's hoping she's on the East Coast Tour too!) and so I was super stoked to find out she had a new single. As Christians - I think Christian girls especially - we are targets of identity lies from the Devil. Britt's single is about God speaking truth to us and how we need to see ourselves through His eyes. Happy Listening!

Walking Like Giants ~ Stars Go Dim

This song is so fun! Stars Go Dim present a positive, upbeat song in their new single. No matter what happens, we won't give up and we know God is with us. We can walk like giants.

Happy Listening!

Prince of Peace ~ Michael W. Smith

Ready to have some fun? You can sing this song in parts with a friend! We sang this song at the other church (we sang a lot of great music at that church :). I sing the girl part, but I think I know the men part too. If only my brothers would sing with me.... (:

Happy Listening!

[Verse 1:]
You are holy (you are holy)
You are mighty (you are mighty)
You are worthy (you are worthy)
Worthy of praise (worthy of praise)

[Verse 2:]
I will follow (I will follow)
I will listen (I will listen)
I will love you (I will love You)
All of my days (all of my days)

[Chorus (men):]
I will sing to, and worship
The King who is worthy
I will love and adore Him
And I will bow down before Him

I will sing to, and worship
The King who is worthy
I will love and adore Him
And I will bow down before Him

[Chorus (women):]
You are lord of lords
You are king of kings
You are mighty god
Lord of everything

You're Emmanuel
You're the great I am
You're the prince of peace
Who is the lamb

You're the living God
You're my saving grace
You will reign forever
You are ancient of days

You are alpha, omega
Beginning and end
You're my savior, messiah,
Redeemer and friend

[Ending:]
You are my prince of peace, and I will live my life for you.

Above All ~ Michael W. Smith

I think this was another song from the days my dad played in a praise band. It's sort of an Easter song, no that I look back on it. I always think it's weird that there are hundreds of Christmas songs (with all the variations) and yet hardly any Easter songs. Anyway, Happy Listening!

Shout To The North And The South

I've just always known this song. I probably learned it very young in VBS or something. It's one of those songs that just pops up once in a while. Again, not a terribly deep, complicated song, but sometimes it's nice to just sing out praise and truth. Happy Listening!

Monday, August 8, 2016

Marvelous Light

I'm taking a walk down memory lane. My dad used to play guitar and sing once a month at another church than ours, and this is one of the songs I remember singing there. Nothing complex or super deep about this song. It's a simple praise raised to God that speaks truth over us as well. Happy Listening!

One Step Away ~ Casting Crowns

I will never get over how amazing Casting Crowns is at writing songs that have such powerful lyrics and music. I heard this song on the way to church a few weeks ago and then had to wait for it to go on YouTube (I hate that :)

This song is sure to encourage you and build you up, wherever you are in life's journey. Happy Listening!

New Skillet Song

Skillet has a new album coming out August 5, and I heard one of the songs. It's fantastic! A little departure from the normal hard rock, but somehow it really works. I think this may be my new binge song for the week :) Happy Listening!

Monday, July 11, 2016

Thy Will ~ Hillary Scott

It's really hard to let go of our own desires and plans and say, "God, Your will be done." Hillary Scott wrote and recorded this song in the midst of some really hard times, yet she can say, "His will be done."

Happy Listening!

Mended ~ Matthew West

Wow, it's been a while.

Matthew West has a "new song". It's off his Live Forever album, but I just heard it last week. "Mended" is all about how God doesn't see us the way we see ourselves. It's such an encouraging song for those times when you just feel like, well, like you're too far gone, or too broken.
Happy Listening!

1GN has new music

Down to three members now since Lindsay got married, Carmen, Kayli, and Lauryn-Taylor are back with some fresh new music! I put some of my favorite lyrics before each song. The absolute best might be from Impossible! I saved the best for last :) Happy Listening!

Guard Your Heart
Know your worth ‘cause you are priceless
More than gold, more than diamonds
Be the light inside the dark
Keep your faith and guard your heart
It’s where life, it’s where love is
Every beat has a purpose
It holds everything you are
Above all else
Guard your heart

The One
Looking for love in all the wrong places
Searching for love to fill these spaces
Tried it my way but it left me alone
How could I forget

You're the One, the One
Who's always by side
You're the One, You're the One
For me You gave Your life
You're the One
Jesus You're the One, the One
You are my, You are my first love

Unite
It’s time to throw away the hate, just let it go
It’s time to change the game, let’s take control
There’s so much more to life, don’t compromise
It’s all about one hope, so let’s unite

Impossible
Anytime I reach out for a star
You make me understand
You’re holding every one of them
So I’m reaching for Your hand

God of My Everything ~ Bebo Norman

This isn't a new song, but it popped in my head the other day and I was really encouraged and uplifted by it. I hope it does the same for you. Happy Listening!

God of my hope, God of my need
God of my pain that no one else will ever see
God of my healing, God of my strength
God who has always and will forever reign
God of my everything

No More ~ Josh Wilson

I sometimes fall into the trap of beating myself up for past sins and mistakes. Josh Wilson's new song says "NO MORE!" We are not guilty - condemned - because of Jesus' sacrifice. Hallelujah!
Happy Listening!

Never Too Far Gone ~ Jordan Feliz

This song is so comforting. I love the music and beat, as well as the lyrics! The video is pretty sweet too (I am really into maps!) Happy Listening!

You will never outrun my love, my love, my love

Doesn't matter, doesn't matter, doesn't matter what you've done
You are never, you are never, never too far gone

I Hope You Dance ~ Mandisa version

I've listened to this song since I was a little girl, but the version I knew was by Lee Ann Womack. I just found out that Mandisa has a version and it is fantastic! I might like it better than Lee Ann's :) Happy Listening!

Thousand Foot Krutch

Two more songs I really like by TFK. Happy Listening!

We Can Change the World ~ Hawk Nelson

Yep, I really like Hawk Nelson :) This song is off an old album, but I just heard it for the first time at my March Bible quiz. It's a very positive and encouraging song about the change we can have in this world. But we can't do it alone; we need to work together.

Happy Listening!

God of Miracles ~ Chris McClarney

When I was at Springhill, I went through the Prayer Labyrinth. At the end was a card and lyrics from this song were on it. I got home, looked it up, and was blown away. It's such a powerful song and relates to me personally in a big way. Our God is a God of miracles.

Happy Listening!

Courtesy Call ~ Thousand Foot Krutch

One of my FAVORITE TFK songs! I turn down the screaming part, but the rest is fantastic! Happy Listening!

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

Captivated ~ We Are Leo

Our end video for Springhill this year featured We Are Leo singing their song 'Captivated'. I actually guessed the band! I think what attracts me to this band is that they are similar to bands like Stellar Kart (who I REALLY like!). Happy Listening!

Perfect Day ~ Josh Bates

Another Guitar Praise song!

This song is from the Kendrick Brothers movie 'Facing the Giants' and I had no idea it was by Josh Bates! You get a bonus song today :)

Soar ~ Meredith Andrews

Meredith doesn't have an official version that is like the radio version, but the acoustic is actually good (I'm not usually a fan of acoustics). If you listen to Christian radio, you've probably heard this before, so you know how good that version is :) Happy Listening!

Friday, April 8, 2016

Loyal ~ Lauren Daigle

Lauren is still not one of my favorites, but this is a good song that I heard at Winter Jam. God's love is loyal; it will never leave. Happy Listening!

When The Stars Burn Down ~ Phillips, Craig, & Dean

All I have to say is that this is one of my favorite worship songs. I don't even know what to say beyond that. It's so powerful. Happy Listening!

God ~ Rebecca St. James

I'm not sure how old this song is, but it is very good. Sing it out and simply declare who God is and how incredible He is! Happy Listening!

Orphan ~ John Waller

Such a powerful and touching song from John Waller. I almost cry listening to it. My heart is so tender towards orphans and I myself plan to adopt when I am married. Hearing the girl singing at the end especially gets to me. There are children crying all alone and what they want, we can provide!

Happy Listening!

This song is so simple and yet so powerful. A perfect reminder for us this Easter, especially on Good Friday.

Our God Reigns Here ~ John Waller

When I listen to this song, I get chills. This song is a declaration over your life. No thing is welcome unless it is from the Spirit. Our God reigns in our lives and has power over everything. All other spirits have no place in our minds and hearts.

Happy Listening!

NEW RELIENT K MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

The excitement knows no bounds right now, people!!!!!!!!!!!! Relient K has a new single and is making a new album!

This song goes back to their older stuff - word play to make you think, Christian message that's not preachy, but still obvious. It's absolutely fantastic. This fan is hoping that the whole album is more along the lines of their old style - goofy songs and Christian songs.

Probably my favorite line "it's like someone poked a pinhole in the canvas of the night" What amazing, poetic word play!!!!

Happy Listening!

Live Life Loud ~ Hawk Nelson

Hawk Nelson is such a great band! Their songs are so energetic and so touching at the same time :) This isn't one of their newer songs, but I was reminded of it and it is so fun. Here you go! Happy Listening!

Monday, March 14, 2016

Chris Sligh music

Chris Sligh is not big on Christian radio, but I heard some of his songs in 'October Baby' (one of my favorite movies!) and I really like his voice and he writes really powerful songs. Happy Listening!

New Beginning by Everyday Sunday

Everyday Sunday teamed up with Manwell Reyes from Group 1 Crew on their latest single "New Beginning". Totally a song for getting you in a great mood. Happy listening!

From Beginning to End God You Reign

Apparently I am into Rush of Fools lately. I heard this song on the radio and thought, "Wow, I haven't heard this song in forever. I really like it." Then I discovered that it was by Rush of Fools. Hope it encourages you. Happy Listening!

Tuesday, March 8, 2016

The Unmaking ~ Nichole Nordeman

Nichole is such an amazing singer. Her vocals are absolutely incredible. I believe this song is the title track off her new album. It's all about the idea of dying to self so that God can mold us.

Happy Listening!

Anchor and Echo ~ Colton Dixon

More wonderful music from Colton! I'm starting to wonder if I just got unlucky in that the first music I heard from him were two I didn't like. Anyway....

I tend to like songs about getting through storms or struggles in life, probably because I can relate to them so well. That's Anchor.

Echo (Neon Feather Remix) is just awesome. Plain and simple. And it doesn't hurt that the music is really similar to Owl City, does it? :)

Happy Listening!

Promises ~ Seventh Time Down

Great new song about trusting God and that He always has done what He promised. Happy Listening!

Changes around here

I have learned more about copyright laws and as a result, I will not be posting songs on this blog that are not put out by the artist or the record company. I went back through all my old posts and made sure that they reflected this new policy. Unfortunately, some songs had to go because I could not find a version on YouTube that was by the artist. So I apologize if you can't find a song that used to be here.

To give more of an explanation, by the letter of the law, creating a lyric or music video for a song that is not your own original creation, is violating copyright laws. Obviously, this does not get enforced, but I don't want to be involved in anything possibly illegal. Also, I have learned more about the Seventh Commandment and I don't want to be encouraging stealing either. That's why I have the new policy that I do.

Thanks for visiting my blog and supporting Christian music!

Alive In Me ~ JJ Weeks Band

Our God is all-powerful, all-knowing, present everywhere. The God who performed miracles, walked on water, and created the world, lives inside of us! It seems crazy, but it's true. That's what this song is about. Happy Listening!

Refuge ~ Finding Favour

This song reminds me of the Scripture that talks about looking to the mountains, and our strength comes from God, not the mountains. It sounds so simple to just take refuge in God in the the trials and storms, but yet, it's so hard. If you're going through something, let your heart sing this out as a prayer to God. Happy Listening!

Priceless ~ For King & Country

Girls, this ones mostly for you :) Don't ever forget your worth as a Daughter of the King. This is how He views you and how you should view yourself. Guys, this is how you should view girls. Such a great song and I was lucky enough to hear it performed live! Happy Listening!

Adam Cappa Music

I used to hear these songs on Air1's New Music Channel. Now that channel is gone and I don't hear them on the radio anymore, so I listen on Youtube! Anyway, they are great songs and I thought I'd share them here, even though they aren't super new. I've decided by now that I don't have to just post new songs. After all, it is my blog, so I can do what I want :) Happy Listening!

Plans ~ Kyle Kupecky

Holt International is one of the sponsors/partners of Winter Jam and in one of the videos they showed, there was this really great song that I had never heard. So I quickly wrote down some of the lyrics to look up when I got home. The artist is Kyle Kupecky, former singer in Anthem Lights! What fun! This is such a wonderful song that reminds me of the verse Jeremiah 29:11. And that's not a coincidence ;)

Happy Listening!

Sunday, February 14, 2016

These guys are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands! // more from Anthem Lights

I am becoming a huge fan of Anthem Lights. They have songs that are just so funny (either lyrically or the video or both) and songs that have a great message. So here are a few more songs that are perfect examples of all of the above. Happy Listening!

"That's What I'm Looking For" is so encouraging to me personally. I have made the commitment to modesty and purity and, quite frankly, living differently from those around me is a struggle sometimes. This song - and others like it - tell me, "Yes, what you're doing is important." As a Christian, I try to live the way God wants me to because He wants me to, but at the same time, it is nice to know that it's acknowledged, you know? Not only does this song have a great message, but it's hilarious!

"I'm Not Going Anywhere" talks about unconditional love. It talks about opening up to each other as Christians and broken people and saying, "Yep, you messed up. But I'm going to stand with you, help you back up, and guide you back to God." We are not the judges of others; that's God's job. We are called to build one another up and continually point them to God and to His Word.  (As an added bonus, Manwell Reyes from Group 1 Crew is in it too!)

"Love You Like The Movies" cracks me up! It is a sweet love song but also really funny. These guys make songs that cheer me up when I'm having a down day. I just can't help but smile :)

The irony is not lost on me that I don't really like/listen to love songs and I just posted three (!), but what I like about these songs is that they are realistic love songs. Not just mushy, gushy or "how will I live without you?" songs (they do have some of those and I don't really like them). I guess the last one kind of is, but it's so funny, it gets an exception. I just really appreciate the message that the first two songs portray.

So there's your dose of Anthem Lights. Hope you enjoyed the songs! (Perfect timing to post on Valentine's Day :)

All I Can Do (Thank You) ~ Mikeschair

I love this song! It is a song of worship acknowledging how we are so unworthy of God and what He has done. All we can do is tell Him thank you.

Happy Listening!

Mark Schultz music

This first song is called "The Time That Is Left". It's pretty old, but I only recently discovered it and it has quickly become one of my favorites by Mark. This song fills me with peace. If I'm sad or angry, I feel calmed when I listen, and if I am happy, this song increases that happiness.

Live Forever ~ Matthew West

There seems to be a theme among new contemporary Christian songs. A lot of them are focusing in the eternal and how this is not all there is; it's not even the important part. Matthew West has a really good song that deals with this topic and I hope it speaks to you today. Happy Listening!

Behind the music with Steven Curtis Chapman

For me, songs are made so much more powerful when I know the meaning and the story behind them. I really enjoy and connect to Steven Curtis Chapman's songs and I found a bunch of behind the music videos for his songs.

Here are the stories behind the songs "Something Beautiful", "Finish What He Started", "Glorious Unfolding", "Take Another Step", "Love Take Me Over"

Let's Go Back~ Everyday Sunday

This band is so much fun. I wish they were more mainstream so I could hear more of their stuff. Anyway....

I'm not sure what the artists were trying to communicate with this song, but to me, this song is talking about friendship and wanting to go back to the uncomplicated past. I really like what this song says here,
"so tell me, what you are
and I'll tell you, you're so much more
than anything you thought that you could be"

Very positive, upbeat, encouraging song. Happy Listening!

Amen ~ Steven Curtis Chapman

Steven Curtis Chapman is one of my all-time favorite artists and he does not disappoint with his latest single "Amen". As he says in the behind the music on this song, it's about agreeing with God and affirming that what He has said is true. Steven says it best and I've posted the behind the music video below. You should definitely check it out.

Happy Listening!

Even When It Hurts ~ Hillsong

Randomly discovered this song, and while it is not the kind of song I usually like, it really speaks to me and is the attitude of worship I want to have.

Happy Listening!
