This song has grown on me the more I hear it. Gokey performed it at the K-Love Fan Awards and the choreography and everything was incredible! I wish it was on YouTube. Anyway, The Comeback is a song about not letting life beat you down.

The music of this song just begs to be danced to! It's fun, upbeat, and just makes your mood lift (even if you're already happy :). The chorus is unique because it is similar to familiar hymns of Christmas time, yet fresh and new.

Rise ~ Danny Gokey

Gokey writes and sings with so much emotion. He's been through some tough things and I think it comes through in his music. "Rise" is an encouraging song about going forward from those tough places in life.

"More Than You Think I Am" is Danny Gokey's new single on Christian radio. It talks about God and who He is, but how He is more than we could ever dream. I love how it is written as though God is talking to us. 

You may have heard this song by Phillips, Craig, and Dean. Gokey changed some of the words in his, so it's not a direct cover. Both versions are amazing, but they address totally different topics. Listen and you will see what I mean.

This song is called "Love Will Take You Places". It is a nice song when you think of love just as the feeling or emotion or even as the action, but when love means God, the song becomes completely different. The Bible says God IS love, so "love will take you places" means "God will take you places".  I don't know if this is what Danny meant, but it is cool to think about. 

We all need hope sometimes

There are times when it just seems like nothing is going right and the trials will never end. Music often is very helpful and this song by American Idol alum Danny Gokey, is all about having hope and faith that the storms of life will indeed end. Happy listening!
